Our history

It all begins in Cappadocia, at the heart of Anatolia, the millennial birthplace of kilim art. It is there that Enbiya, captivated by these ancestral weavings, grew up surrounded by the colours and patterns that tell the story of his people.

Restoration of an antique kilim in Paris by Enbiya, Anatolian kilim specialist since 1992

Since 1992

30 years of expertise and passion

For over three decades, Enbiya Cigdem, originally from Cappadocia, has travelled Turkey in search of exceptional pieces. His expert eye instantly recognises the quality of a weave, the authenticity of natural dyes, and the symbolic depth of patterns.

Each kilim in our collection is chosen with the same care a collector brings to a work of art. These rugs are not mere decorative objects — they are living testimonies of a craft passed down from generation to generation.

The shop

From Anatolia to Paris

At 51 rue Dauphine, in the 6th arrondissement, Enbiya set up his shop to share this ancestral craft from the high plateaus of Anatolia with the world.

Anatolie Kilim is far more than a shop. It is a bridge between two worlds, an invitation to discover the cultural richness of the Orient through its most beautiful textile creations. Our mission is to bring these artisanal treasures to lovers of authenticity and beauty, while preserving the work of the craftspeople who carry these traditions forward.
