Adana, South-Eastern Anatolia, 65 years old. Within its 195 x 118 cm (6'5" × 3'10"), four large hexagons follow one another on a cotton white ground of undiminished luminosity. The deep red of the top dissolves softly towards the solar orange of the bottom, like a sunset woven thread by thread. At their heart, interlacing and scrollwork of a rare complexity bear witness to a hand that never trembled.
The cotton retains that radiance wool cannot give, as bright as on the first day.
