Broad, sovereign bands follow one another across these 225 x 75 cm (7'5" × 2'6") like strata of earth, the burnt orange that opens and closes the composition, anthracite grey, deep bordeaux, warm brown spreading at the centre like a plains horizon. A few small diamond motifs slipped discreetly into the dark bands, like secrets murmured in a quiet conversation.

A kilim for interiors that know beauty has no need to justify itself.
