Denizli is a city in south-western Anatolia, at the crossroads of the great caravan routes connecting the Aegean coast to the interior. The kilims of this region are known for their rhythmic banded compositions, their warm palette and their dense, tightly woven wool.
This one is approximately 55 years old and measures 237 x 146 cm (7'9" × 4'9"). Entirely made by hand, its colours have stepped back with time, without losing any of their character.
