Barak is a tribal territory of South-Eastern Anatolia whose kilims generally carry bold colours and assertive motifs. This one chose softness.
Woven by hand some 55 years ago, its 128 x 108 cm (4'2" × 3'7") unfold large hexagons in straw yellow and plum on a grey-green ground, with a delicacy one does not often see and does not easily forget.
