The Caucasus has always known how to impose its own rules. Within its 260 x 180 cm (8'6" × 5'11"), this kilim woven by hand some 50 years ago unfolds a composition of interlocking hooks that chain together in red, terracotta and slate blue with an almost hypnotic regularity.
The eye finds no place to settle, it slides, it follows, it returns. A kilim that creates movement in a still room.
