The Caucasus, a crossroads of civilisations between the Black Sea and the Caspian, developed a kilim language entirely its own. Its angular geometric motifs, its bold and contrasted palettes, its way of filling space without ever saturating it. All codes one finds again in this kilim woven by hand some 65 years ago.
Within its 290 x 190 cm (9'6" × 6'3"), red, orange, ochre and midnight blue hold themselves in a balance that only a practised eye could weave.
