Eskisehir, between Western Anatolia and the central plateau, has produced kilims of broad and rhythmic compositions, horizontal bands and geometric medallions that answer one another with a quiet clarity.
Woven by hand some 60 years ago, this 256 x 146 cm (8'5" × 4'9") kilim has held well through time. Its brick reds and terracottas, lifted by khaki green, straw yellow and a few touches of orange, have taken on together that depth that only decades know how to give.
