Its horizontal bands alternate rosy salmon and almond green in a soothing succession, each carrying its own small medallions and geometric motifs woven with a precision that commands respect.
The vegetable dyes have taken on with time that particular patina, somewhere between peach and coral, that no recipe can reproduce and that only decades know how to give.
