The bands of this Fethiye kilim advance like seasons. Terracotta, ochre, khaki green, and that midnight blue that appears here and there, unexpected, like a sky breaking through clouds.
Woven in western Anatolia some 55 years ago, its 245 x 142 cm (8'0" × 4'8") have the serenity of that which has had time to find its place.
