Fethiye, on the Mediterranean coast of South-Western Anatolia, where the sea and the mountains look out upon one another. Woven by hand in natural wool some 65 years ago, this 250 x 140 cm (8'2" × 4'7") kilim chose a palette that few regions dare.
Slate blue and terracotta answer one another in large interlocking diamonds, held by a cream ground that lets everything breathe. A combination that evokes the particular light of this coast, between sky and warm rock.
