Fragments of Anatolian hemp assembled into 180 x 120 cm (5'11" × 3'11"), each coming from a textile that had already served, wall hanging, divan, room divider. The seams that unite them make no attempt to disappear. They are part of the story.
Against this luminous off-white, a few dark brown stripes surface here and there, rare, almost timid, and a single small geometric motif placed low at the centre serves as a discreet reminder that th ese hands also knew how to weave signs. The less there is of it, the more it matters.
