Woven in Tavas, in western Anatolia, some 60 years ago, this 280 x 180 cm (9'2" × 5'11") kilim unfolds a composition one does not often see. Dozens of small geometric motifs come together in a dense and living surface, where terracotta, sand and powdery blue hold themselves in a harmony that time has softened still further.
